Great weather combined with the typical Caribbean atmosphere make for the perfect Caribbean fishing vacation. In the temperate waters surrounding Curacao you can catch a big variety of game fish.

You can try Curacao fishing all by yourself: you'll need some fishing equipment ofcourse. Every now and then, I try to hit the Baya beach pier and have some lone time. To me it's the ultimate relaxing fishing experience since there's no experienced fishermen telling me what to do.

However if you want to go after the real ''big fish'', you're probably better off renting a fishing charter. You can hire these (private boat, captain and crew) for either a full day or a half-day.
The fun part is that you get to organize competitions with your friends and family. See who catches the biggest fish! (Hey, fishermen have egos too.) Well, let's hope they have deep pockets too since hiring a fishing charter can be somewhat expensive.

Anyways, let's start with the creme de la creme among Curacao fishing charters, since they have the best fishing ratio on the island.

So, this baby right here has a topspeed of 20 knots, is about 80 feet long and has been in the business since 2005.

That's 100 bucks an hour, yup. Bait, rod, reels, lunch and drinks included. Make sure you ask them about their pick-up service.

Looks "pretty" decent for a second best option. I'm sure the rates will please your wallet too.
